The Lucy Patterson

First up, if you’re here looking for a 10x ROI promise or a ‘live your best life’ platitude, then grab your coat – you’re in the wrong place.

But if you’re standing in the messy middle of life or business, staring down reinvention without a map, welcome. You’ve found someone who’s been there, burned the blueprint, and decided to design something better.

What you’ll discover when we work together is that I’ve walked through reinvention – in life, in business, and in creative identity – and I’m now helping fellow humans, like you, reimagine what’s next. I won’t give you the answers, but I will help you ask better, braver questions, and I will help you embed a powerful, non-linear, problem-solving process known as Design Thinking into your everyday psyche.

I work with real humans – curious, over-it, talented types who want to build something honest and liveable. You know you need to stop living on autopilot, you’re big enough to admit you still haven’t found what you’re looking for, and you’re ready to make something that actually fits and works for now. A design for life, if you will – c’ept not the glossy kind, the gritty, use-it-every-day kind.

My design for life; my manifesto:

“Ask better questions. Audit your values. Be where your feet are. Break your own rules. Build for longevity. Challenge norms gently. Choose usefulness over urgency. Cut the noise. Decide who you’re becoming. Ditch perfection. Do the scary thing. Eat like you love yourself. Find the throughline. Go offline. Honour your energy. Keep what’s essential. Laugh loudly. Learn sideways. Move daily. Name what matters. Notice patterns. Own your time. Pivot bravely. Protect your peace. Question assumptions. Reclaim joy. Rest on purpose. Say no often. Seek meaning. Start again. Stay weird. Trust your gut.”

I’m drawn to liminal spaces; the in-betweens, the not-quite-there-yets. Maybe it’s a generational thing. After all, I was curating mixtapes that explored identity, expression, and resistance long before ‘personal branding’ was a thing. So if your business no longer feels like it fits, or you’ve finished one life chapter but can’t quite bring yourself to turn the page, or you know there’s creative energy in you somewhere, but it’s lying dormant and you’re not sure how to wake it up, we should talk.

I don’t offer hype. I offer tools.

I don’t offer hype, because I don’t believe the hype.

For decades I worked in creative strategy, business coaching, and design thinking. I was ‘successful.’ But I felt like a shell of myself – creatively drained, emotionally beige, stuck in a system that rewarded surface over substance.

So I got out. Reinvention wasn’t a vibe shift. It was a necessity.

Now I work with real humans – curious, capable, quietly rebellious people who are done tolerating what no longer fits. They’re ready to design something that feels honest, flexible, profitable, and real.

What I do lives somewhere between strategic thinking, creative coaching, and good old-fashioned getting-shit-done. Whether we’re redesigning your offer, your business model, or your midlife trajectory, it’s about building something you can actually live with – not just launch.

Who I work with:

· 50+ women navigating the longevity economy and marketplace; who are ready to lead, rather than be labelled.

· Small business owners stuck between passion and profit, who are searching for structure and ready to put their own unique spin on things to move forward.

· Midlife re-imaginers. Humans stuck in the liminal space between what was and what could be.

· Corporate teams and brands who want to harness the growing longevity economy, and engage 50+ audiences without the cringe.

What I believe (a.k.a. what I won’t shut the fc*k up about):

· Design thinking isn’t just for Silicon Valley tech bros – it’s a powerful life and business tool

· The longevity economy is the biggest untapped opportunity for 50+ women and those who want to reach them with integrity & purpose

· Reinvention is not a luxury; it’s a survival technique

· Strategy means nothing without execution

· Purpose doesn’t need another Pinterest quote – it needs a plan

This is for you if…

You’ve hit a point where the hustle feels hollow.

You’ve achieved things but still don’t feel aligned (and yes, that word makes me cringe too).

You’ve got ideas but no clear next step. You know there’s more – but you’re not willing to burn out trying to find it.

I see you. You’re my kind of person.

Let’s build what’s next.

My work blends design thinking, facilitation, irreverence, and strategy. It’s designed to get you moving, fast – but in a direction that actually matters to you.

Whether that’s through:

· A 1:1 design day – your very own D Day, imagine that. What will you make happen?

· A BOB workshop – Business Optimisation Boards are creative-problem-solving-tastic, expertly facilitated, peer-to-peer X design thinking collabs.

· A ‘mara-hack-athon’ – AKA 26 weeks of tiny experiments that’ll change your life/business for the better.

· A ‘Longevity Lab’ or workshop, designed to get you from idea to implementation – with creative ease.

· Or simply start by listening to the podcast, or reading my Substack and scribbling in the margins. (You can subscribe below.)

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be ready to stop tolerating stuck.
